Telematics insurance, also known as black box car insurance, is a way for car insurance companies to assess your skill as a driver, allowing them to measure performance behind the wheel.
They'll then use this information to give you an insurance quote that matches your risk as a driver, so if you're sensible on the roads, you could be rewarded with a discount on your car insurance premiums!
Your Policy and premium are based on the following assumptions:
- You agree to a telematics device (Black Box) being installed in your vehicle within 21 days of the start of your policy.
- Your vehicle is not a grey import OR modified in any way from the manufacturer's original specification.
- You, or any additional drivers, have no disabilities or medical conditions that are legally required to be disclosed to the DVLA.
- If you have declared No Claims Bonus, it is not in use on another policy and is from a private car policy in your name, which ended within the last 2 years.
